Governor Landry’s Political Theater

For years, the Republican establishment has intentionally taken actions that lack substance, often only acting to pander to Zionist donors. Whether it's the constant 9/11 hysteria about Middle Eastern "terrorism,” having all Republican governors sign a statement reaffirming their “unwavering support for the Nation of Israel,” or limiting Americans free speech when it is deemed “antisemitic,” it's clear that Con Inc. would rather gesture loyalty to their puppeteers than tackle the prominent issues facing the United States.The latest example of this pandering was Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, who signed House Bill 71 into law last month, requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. Although it would be great if Governor Landry signed this bill to bring Christianity back into schools and appeal to his Christian Republican base, in reality, this action serves as yet another example of Republicans showing their fealty to AIPAC. In his comments on the bill, he said, "If you want to respect the rule of law, you’ve got to start from the original lawgiver, which was Moses." Rather than giving the Christian perspective that we must obey Christ and the commandments, he appeals to Jewish-Zionist values of the Mosaic Law.He continued his tune with an appearance on Fox News, responding to criticism by stating, "I mean, look, this country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and every time we steer away from that, we have problems in our nation." With this statement, Landry asserts that traditional American values are not uniquely Christian but also Jewish. Jews in Louisiana only make up 0.3% of the population, giving Landry no reason to appeal to this demographic.Instead of saying “Christian principles,” American conservatives such as Landry are forced to say that the West is founded on "Judeo-Christian Principles" in fear of losing money from their Zionist donors. Republican politicians continue their commitment to the Zionist donor class in fear of facing opposition from AIPAC or AIPAC-adjacent groups. A recent example of this is when the AIPAC-aligned United Democracy Project and the Republican Jewish Coalition spent over $3 million campaigning against John Hostettler in Indiana’s 8th district for peddling "antisemitic" conspiracies and failing to support American aid to Israel.Louisiana's Republican representatives, like most Republicans, continue to offer fake resistance to the left in culture wars while neglecting to put America first. This results in the preservation of the current status quo, with the GOP constantly backpedaling on social issues, allowing the left to become more dominant. The left's aforementioned dominance becomes fuel for the next cultural battle for "conservatives" to be outraged about, continuing the cycle. This leaves their constituents forgotten and helpless while giving money and votes to the “conservative” politicians.Louisiana is the quintessential example of this. The state faces pressing struggles that require the attention of the state’s government, such as education, drug abuse, and poverty. Louisiana ranks 41st in education with the 3rd lowest graduation rate in the country. The state also has the 7th highest drug abuse rate and the 2nd highest poverty rate. Governor Landry should be focusing on making real changes in Louisiana instead of pushing half-baked policies that serve to placate Christians and pander to donors.Con Inc. Republicans act sensationally for Zionists without actually doing anything of substance. Republican representatives pander to their Christian conservative constituents when, in reality, they are just taking advantage of them. If a Republican ever dares to act in a truly right-wing or Christian way, they will be swiftly punished. Knowing this, they grandstand on the current hot-button issues, becoming pseudo-celebrities who use their influence to promote the anti-American ideas that their donors command them to. Governor Landry of Louisiana is unfortunately no different.
